Smart Tare Option

Whether you want to exclude the weight of a metal tray that you deemed fit to use with Weighmax, while adding ingredients to measure, or you want to exclude the weight of previously adding items to see the exact and accurate weight of newly added items, the smart tare button is your best friend.

Just press it once to wipe the slate clean and you are good to go measuring newly added ingredients without a single ounce from the previous measurement.

Easy Conversion from one to another Weighing Unit

As we have mentioned earlier, the Weighmax food scale comes with limited measuring units e.g. grams, ounces, and pounds, but the situation could be worse if the customer had to go through some complicated process to shift from one to another measuring unit.

Thank God that Weighmax saved them from the unneeded hassle and with a simple push, the customers can go from grams to ounces to pounds.

Inconsistent Measuring

It is because, first of all, we admit that the material is bad, but we haven’t faced any performance lags and the product performed normally and secondly, because some Amazon customers of this product reported that it broke after a few weeks or months.

So, we have a consensus that the built quality is not good and it is likely that this scale may break after a month or so.

Very Limited Weighing Capacity

This is surely a con that all users of this food scale (including us) can agree to. While we have scales that normally weigh as much as 176 ounces, and we have some exceptions that weigh as much as 179 ounces or 282 ounces (MyWeigh KD8000 does offer that much), a weighing scale with merely 70 ounces weighing capacity is no good. 

That too when the price range of the Weighmax kitchen scale is roughly within the ambit of high-quality food weighing scales. This is definitely not the best kitchen scale, because it seems to be ignoring as to what is the standard weighing capacity of standard grams weighing scale, and it ignores the daily weighing requirements of different types of customers.

Also:

When talking of weighing capacity one must talk of the units that you can take measurements in. Weighmax only allows you to take food ingredient measurements in grams, ounces, and pounds. While there are others that offer as many as 5 weight measuring unit options.

Another trivial issue, which will still be important to people who pay attention to the details, is the graduation unit. It is the most minimum quantity that a scale may measure.

While most of the scales that we have reviewed so far have a 0.01 ounces graduation unit, this scale has 0.1 which means that it will not measure the smallest quantity of ingredients that many good scales will.

No AC Adapter/USB charging option

Here’s this problem:

You might call us USB charging Nazis, but look around and you will find out that a lot of items that were previously on AA or AAA batteries have now shifted to USB charging.

We’re not asking the weighing scale companies to completely give up on AA batteries; we’re just asking them to have an adapter/USB charging functionality as an alternative option.

First of all, it shows attention to detail when you give your customers more than one option, and secondly, your customers will not have to abandon the cooking or baking in the midst of it, only because the batteries drained out.

Not giving a USB/Adapter charging option is a big con to us and the reason has already been explained. With such an option on a weighing scale, customers may have unlimited weighing as long as the scale is connected to a socket.
